Flandria, “With heart and soul for our profession”.
Flandria is the biggest quality label for fresh fruit and vegetables in Belgium. Since its establishment in 1995, the Flandria label provides added value to a wide range of fresh produce: from field vegetables and greenhouse vegetables to niche products and forgotten vegetables.
Flandria stands for:
- sustainable cultivation
- attractive volumes
- grown with expert knowledge in family businesses
Sustainable cultivation with the sustainability ‘Responsibly Fresh’ quality mark
All Flandria products bear the ‘Responsibly Fresh’ label. Each grower who has gained this sustainability quality mark, grows his produce with care to ensure that a balance is maintained between people, profit & planet.
Flandria's sustainable commitment within the Responsibly Fresh quality mark contributes to a wide range of fruit and vegetables which are reliable, high-quality and healthy, both for today’s and tomorrow’s consumer.
Attractive volumes
Only crunchy fresh products, which also score highly in terms of taste and intrinsic characteristics, are awarded the Flandria quality mark. The label owes its premium position to years of efforts on the part of growers and the efficient quality policy of the auctions. Every day, large volumes of Flandria products are supplied and sold at the REO Auction. Flandria growers enable the REO Auction to meet huge demand.
Grown with expert knowledge in family businesses
All Flandria vegetables come from family businesses. As a result, the grower feels personally invested in his/her own production. Flandria growers are also provided with the support of professional cultivation supervisors and product developers. They are constantly working on improving the taste and the shelf life of their products.
