Sustainable Business Charter

The REO Veiling has in each case been granted the West Flemish Sustainable Business Charter since 2010. Since 2017, this charter has been raised to a higher level, from provincial to Flemish. From now on, the charter is no longer issued by the provinces, but by Voka. Within this amended context, the REO Veiling is committed to the new charter, which is inspired by the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

What is new in this is that not all 17 objectives need to be attained in one working year. Businesses which have taken part in the Voka Sustainable Business Charter for three successive years and which have completed some initiative in each of the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals during the course of these three years, are awarded an additional UNITAR certificate (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) by CIFAL Flanders.
